{The Crafts | A Box Retold

If you read my previous post you know that our friends the Erickson's came over for a visit last night. Steve hadn't been to our house in fiveish years and Vanessa had never been a tour was a given. She had seen pictures of Reegan's room before via Insta:

But her in person experience made me realize that there might be a couple helpful nursery decor ideas to share with other parents out there.

So Vanessa asked me about these beautiful canvas set + where I had them printed...I quickly informed her they were actually fabric box lids. HELLO?! Such a good use for art + these are super light weight {ours are hung above Reegan's crib} so if they should fall...ehhh knock on wood...they wouldn't cause any serious damage. And the price is pretty much unbeatable!

Why didn't you think of that?! I know. There's more.

Why sit a box on it's bottom when you could sit it on it's side to display things like this?! This corded iPod dock found a home where it is displayed shadow box style. I simply ran the cord through the handle opening and viola {as seen above the dock below.} Easy peasy!

So there you have it...we've learned that a box doesn't HAVE to be used like most would think. GET creative! Also a thought for those of us that are guilty of collecting TONS of photo storage boxes...if your like me and have several identical boxes that make a set consider hanging a series together for a neat look OR use them as a base to adhese family pictures that pop off the wall.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to follow us for more tips + recipes + crafts + deals and coming soon printables and other freebies!

PS Are you still with me...for that you get a reward...cuteness overload...Reegan reading to her babies...such a good momma she is...wonder where she gets that from. LOL!

PSS if you loved the sparkle added to some of the pictures check out the LensLight app...I DIE {straight Rachel Zoe style.}
