{What On Earth Am I Here For?}

So the hubs and I are partnering up and reading this book, What On Earth Am I Here For?, together in the next 40 days. Monday was Day 2 and I really loved the following from the reading on us and our lives and how God has planned it all out...nothing is by chance because He knows all and has planned this life for us so that we could become the person that He intended. I love this so much because knowing that everyday is what He has planned for me comforts me to no end. Ryan is the partner I was always meant to have...my children...my family...my friends...everything...He put this all together for me. Feeling blessed. Hope you enjoy!

The Bible says, "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Everyday was recorded in your Book!"

Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature....

It is not by fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You are alive because God wanted to create YOU! The Bible says, "The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me."...

Nothing in your life is arbitrary. It's all for a purpose.

God never does anything accidentally, and He never makes mistakes. He has reason for everything He creates....

God is not haphazard; He planned it all with great precision.

If there was no God, we would all be "accidents", the result of astronomical random chance in the universe. You could stop reading this book, because life would have no purpose or meaning or significance. There would be no right or wrong, no hope beyond your brief years here on earth.

Mrs. Katie's Swim Class

So this summer we started private swim lessons with Mrs. Katie...special thanks to my homie K.Riemer for finding an amazing teacher and getting us in on this package deal. I'm continually amazed how fast/much kids can learn in a short amount of time. Start date was June 5th and lessons proved difficult for both Reegan and Fletcher at first...much screaming was involved. I'm talking running to the gate and top of the lungs yelling...were seriously worried about a concerned neighbor taking action. LOL! We kept at it and now Reegan is a little swimmer and Fletcher is getting there {he "graduated" from class early but we will be at it again full force next summer.}

In the beginning Reegan didn't like to have water in her ears, wouldn't go under water and hated water in her eyes. Now it's hard to get her out of the water between swim lessons and pool time/play dates with her besties. Fletcher is still working on his kicking skills but does well with holding his breath under water and can monkey walking on the wall with the best of them. These lessons are so important to us with so many incidents in Arizona with kids and pools we don't consider them a luxury but a necessity. We all know things can happen fast so Ryan and I felt like that it was just something we had to do to protect our little ones at this age. This motived us to keep full steam ahead regardless of the push back they gave us in the beginning...I remembering being at the Riemers bedroom window peeking out at them and thinking sometimes parenting is tough...knowing your baby isn't happy and calling out to you but that this is the best thing for them/for their own good and leaving them in capable hands.

So blessed to have Mrs. Katie give one very critical lesson to the Harding babies. Also huge thank you to Grandma Janet for contributing to the swim lessons for the kids. Just look at them...our real life Bubble Guppies!

AND...
here are a few of the many playdate/pool time fun we have over at La Casa de Reimer this summer with many more to come.

Couldn't resist adding the last one! Go ahead and make you cracks. Haha! Pun intended...how are you loving Fletcher's plumbers crack/mullet combo. It's amazingness I know. His daddy is proud. LOL!

{Be Different}

So super awesome. Not sure if you checked out THIS post where I designed a verse that was in my heart for the kids. Well it was liked by many including Lori over at Crafty Cat Spot who asked if she could print it out. I, of course, gave permission. Come to find out that she took it a step further and did a vinyl inspired print of her own. I'm just super flattered and had to share. :)

Romans 12:2

New International Version (NIV)
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
